Cepea, 11/11/2024 – Domestic corn prices continue to rise in this early November period. According to Cepea researchers, domestic demand is strong, and expectations are that this scenario will persist over the coming days, as consumers need to rebuild inventories. Sellers, in turn, are trading cautiously, prioritizing fieldwork related to the summer crop, the Center also notes. Weather conditions continue to favor summer-crop planting, easing concerns that the 2025 second crop could fall well outside the ideal planting window. As of November 3, 42,1% of the summer crop had been planted in Brazil, a weekly advance of 5,3 p.p. and 1,9 p.p. above the level recorded in the same period of 2023, according to Conab data.
