Cepea, 27/11/2024 – Cotton lint prices rebounded over the past few days. According to Cepea researchers, the gains reflected sellers' firm stance on their offers and some buyers' willingness to pay slightly higher prices, especially when they find lots with the desired quality. In addition, the stronger external market reinforced the recovery move in Brazil. Cepea researchers explain that, with the year-end approaching, market participants are focused on shipments under forward contracts, geared toward both the domestic and external markets. Even so, some are still making new purchases to meet immediate needs and/or maintain stock levels. Source: Cepea (www.cepea.esalq.usp.br)
